CrossFit has been called “The Sport of Fitness” because it re-introduces personal athletic achievement and performance to training.  At the start of each workout, the mindset is to be stronger, move a bit faster, more efficiently, and maintain solid form while surrounded by a supportive community working towards a common goal.  One thing that makes CrossFit so unique is that it addresses the fact that the average person's fitness needs are identical to that of a top athlete.  The only difference is intensity, which is your speed, weights, and volume.  The best results happen when training includes functional fitness mirroring our real-life movements at high intensity and constant variety.

Constantly Varied

“Constantly Varied” means that every day brings a different workout or WOD (Workout Of the Day), incorporating a variety of different movements.  We vary each exercise and work different muscle groups adding cardiovascular & strength exercises.   Everything is tailored to your individual needs and level of fitness.


Functional Movement

“Functional Movement” refers to natural movement.  In life, we bend down and pick something up=deadlift. We pick up a laundry basket from the floor=squat; we put a storage bin up on the overhead shelf=overhead press. CrossFit will teach you how to be strong in life on so many levels.   All of our movements are found in everyday life, and they are the heartbeat of keeping the foundation of “our house” (meaning your body core) very strong. 


High Intensity

“High Intensity” is a phrase that is often misunderstood, and to hear it can bring about apprehension and immediate justification on why CrossFit is “not for me.”  That couldn’t be further from the truth.  High Intensity is the independent variable we each bring to our workout.  It’s doing more work faster.  It’s being comfortable with being uncomfortable and doing those 5 more repetitions when you want to stop.  That’s where the change happens, and the transformation begins.  Fitter for life!
